David Tsonos is a Canadian stand-up comedian who has made London his home after cutting his teeth on Canada's comedy circuit back in 1999. As the youngest of five brothers, he draws much of his material from family chaos, from babysitting a small army of nephews to the daily indignities inflicted on him by his cat. His style is friendly, confident and quick on his feet, built around banter and impulsive asides that keep a room guessing where the next laugh is coming from.
Over twenty five years on stage, Tsonos has performed at more than twenty venues across fifteen countries, taking his act to Romania, Turkey, Malta, the Netherlands, Sweden and Australia among others, alongside regular sets at UK fringe festivals in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Bath, Hastings and Brighton. He is a familiar face at London's Top Secret Comedy Club and Angel Comedy Club, and has picked up praise from The Stand for his crowd work and from Chortle for his wealth of off the cuff material. Beyond stand-up, he has appeared in commercials and television productions and has written and directed independent films.
