Geoff Norcott - stand-up comedian, writer and broadcaster

Geoff Norcott is a London-born stand-up comedian, writer and broadcaster who has been performing on the UK circuit since 2001, after an earlier career as an English teacher. Raised on a council estate in Wimbledon, he built a distinctive niche as one of the few openly right-leaning voices on a circuit not known for them, turning that outsider position into sharp, well-argued political and social observation without ever losing sight of a laugh. Sell-out Edinburgh Fringe runs and national tours have followed, including his acclaimed show Conswervative.

His BBC Radio 4 special Right Leaning But Well Meaning won Best Comedy Production at the 2019 BBC Radio and Music Awards, and he has fronted his own BBC Two documentary, How the Middle Classes Ruined Britain. Norcott is a familiar face on panel and topical shows including Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, Have I Got News for You, Question Time, Would I Lie to You? and A League of Their Own, and he has also entertained troops on five frontline tours to Afghanistan, for which he holds an Operational Service Medal.

Norcott's ability to talk politics, current affairs and everyday life with wit and clarity, rather than shock value, makes him a dependable booking for corporate audiences and club crowds who want intelligent, topical comedy. His broadcast pedigree means he can hold a room of any size, and his knack for finding common ground across a divided audience makes him a particularly safe choice for mixed corporate crowds.
