Hal Cruttenden - stand-up comedian, actor and TV regular

Hal Cruttenden is a London stand-up comedian who swapped a career as a jobbing television and film actor for the comedy circuit in the early 2000s, quickly building a name for himself as one of the UK's sharpest observational comics. His act mines marriage, parenthood and the general indignities of middle age with a fast, self-deprecating delivery that keeps audiences on side even when he is at his most exasperated. He has toured the UK with six solo shows and remains a fixture at clubs and theatres across the country.

He was nominated for the Perrier Newcomer Award at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2002, followed by three Chortle Award nominations, and has gone on to become a familiar face on Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, Have I Got News for You and The Royal Variety Performance, along with appearances on Would I Lie to You, Pointless Celebrities and Celebrity Mastermind. He co-wrote and starred in the BBC Radio 4 sitcom Hal, and four of his stand-up specials are available on Amazon Prime. His acting credits include EastEnders, Kavanagh QC and the film The Madness of King George.

Hal's blend of quick wit, natural stage presence and material that resonates with any adult audience makes him a reliable choice for corporate dinners, theatre shows and club nights alike. Decades of stage experience mean he reads a room fast and adapts his set accordingly, delivering polished, confident comedy without ever needing to push too hard. He is a safe and genuinely funny booking for events of any size, from intimate private functions to large-scale corporate occasions.
