Steve Shanyaski - stand-up comedian and headliner

Steve Shanyaski built his reputation fast. Within six months of starting stand-up he had reached the semi-finals of BBC New Comedian of the Year and the final of North West Comedian of the Year, and was booked onto BBC7's radio showcase Spanking New, a remarkably quick run of results for someone so new to the circuit. That rapid rise continued as he was named Holsten Pils Comedian of the Year and went on to win the Birmingham Comedy Festival's Best Breaking Talent award, cementing his reputation as one of the most exciting new voices to come through in years.

His style combines surreal observations with wildly tangential flights of imagination, pulling audiences into what regulars call 'Stevie World'. That warmth and off kilter energy has made him a popular headliner at clubs including The Stand and the Glee Clubs, and his solo show Steve Shanyaski's Life Survival Bible earned four star reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe. He has also brought his stand-up to television, appearing on Comedy Central and ITV's Comedy Rocks with Jason Manford, extending his reach well beyond the club circuit where he first built his name.

With that mix of TV credentials and years of closing shows in front of live crowds, Steve is a safe pair of hands for headline slots, whether the room is a comedy club, a corporate dinner or a festival stage. His imaginative, high-energy style is built to hold an audience's attention from the first minute, making him a strong choice whenever organisers want a headliner with genuine star quality.
